With a passion for people and a strong belief in integrity-led care, Bill Mills brings a wealth of experience to his role as Lead Audiologist at Rawlings. Since beginning his career in hearing care in 2014—following a global career in the textile industry—Bill has found deep satisfaction in transforming lives through better hearing. He specialises in wax removal, bespoke earplugs, and tailored hearing solutions.

What sets Bill apart is his dedication to offering truly independent hearing care. Unaffiliated with any single brand, he can recommend the most suitable hearing aids based solely on each patient’s unique needs. This freedom to personalise solutions ensures the highest level of audiology service.

Having previously worked across Hampshire and Dorset for both local and national providers, Bill is now proudly based at Rawlings, offering advanced hearing services from a team that shares his values. 

Bill is a hearing aid wearer, as his hearing was damaged whilst working in the textile industry, he has worn Widex aids for the past 3 years.

From comprehensive hearing assessments to aftercare and wax removal, Bill is trusted by clients who frequently refer friends and family—a testament to the quality of service he provides.

Jessica Tovey

RHAD, BA Sp&A (Hons)

Jessica Tovey combines clinical expertise in audiology and speech therapy to provide a holistic and patient-centred hearing care experience. Qualified in 2015 in South Africa, Jessica’s dual knowledge of speech and auditory systems gives her a unique edge in understanding how hearing loss impacts brain function and communication. She is passionate about helping patients reconnect with life and loved ones through improved hearing.

After working in a busy South African hospital—treating everything from noise-induced hearing loss to complex ear conditions—Jessica relocated to the UK in 2020. Her experience includes working in an independent practice, where she refined her skills in tinnitus management, hearing technology, and microsuction wax removal.

Jessica is dedicated to continuous professional development and stays up to date through courses and CPD activities. Her special interests include age-related hearing loss, tinnitus, and noise exposure, and she particularly enjoys working with both adults and children.

At Rawlings Hearing Care, Jessica is excited to be part of a forward-thinking team that values innovation and independence. Her goal is always to deliver compassionate, personalised care, helping each patient hear better and live better.

Ryan Blake

Ryan Blake

Ryan Blake’s journey into audiology began in 2014, sparked by a keen interest in hearing while working in optical retail. After completing his Hearing Care Assistant training, he quickly advanced to providing full hearing assessments and aftercare. Determined to deepen his expertise, Ryan pursued a foundation degree in Hearing Aid Audiology at De Montfort University, graduating in 2021.

Ryan is especially passionate about hearing aid technology and its life-changing benefits. He takes pride in helping patients understand the advantages of private hearing aids over NHS options. His work at Rawlings Opticians & Hearing Care—an independent provider—allows him the flexibility to recommend the best solutions without being tied to specific brands. This independence ensures that each patient receives tailored advice based on their individual hearing needs.

Ryan currently resides in Andover with his young family. Although his toddler keeps him busy and his hobbies on hold, he finds great reward in helping others hear clearly and live more connected lives.

As part of the Rawlings team, Ryan offers comprehensive audiology services including hearing tests, hearing aid fittings, and personalised aftercare—bringing dedication, knowledge, and warmth to every appointment.

Jeanette Fox

Jeanette started her career in refrigeration and air conditioning, spending many years in that industry. After being made redundant when the company downsized, she decided it was time for a change — and that’s when she joined Rawlings Opticians & Hearing Care.

At first, Jeanette worked on the optical side, but as the audiology service grew, she was offered the chance to take the HCA course. “I jumped at it — and I’m so glad I did! I absolutely love my role. Every day, I get to meet interesting, lovely people and help them hear more clearly again, which is incredibly rewarding”.

Decio qualified as a Hearing Aid Dispenser from South Devon University in September 2024. He finds immense satisfaction in helping patients overcome their hearing challenges and achieve their best possible hearing. He is dedicated to providing compassionate and effective care, empowering patients to live more connected and fulfilling lives.

Decio’s career in healthcare began in 2016, initially on the optical side of a large chain. Then joining Rawlings Opticians & Hearing Care in 2018, as a dispensing assistant until 2021. After gaining further experience elsewhere, his passion led him to transition into hearing care in 2023. Embarking on his unique path to qualify as a Hearing Aid Dispenser through an apprenticeship, graduating in September 2024. his hands-on experience provided him with a deep understanding of diverse patient needs and environments, ensuring accessible and tailored care.

Decio has a keen interest in comprehensive auditory rehabilitation and exploring diverse hearing techniques that extend beyond traditional hearing aids. he is passionate about empowering patients with a holistic approach to improving their hearing health.

Having previously worked with Rawlings Opticians & Hearing Care, Decio is delighted to return as a qualified Hearing Aid Dispenser. “I was particularly drawn back by the company’s unwavering commitment to independent, patient-centred care, which allows me the freedom to offer a wide range of unbiased recommendations and truly provide the best advice for each patient. I am a strong advocate for continuous professional development (CPD) and consistently seek out new courses and qualifications to refine my skills and stay at the forefront of hearing care advancements”.
