Optometrist – Alton, Hampshire

We are very proud of our high-end, independent practice in Alton. We have been on the High Street for over 60 years and last year we moved location with a new, fresh and welcoming environment, including up-to-date optical equipment, plus great spectacles brands such as Moscot, Gucci, Lindberg and Maui Jim. We have a friendly team of optical and hearing care professionals, all working together to provide exceptional patient care.

We are looking for an Optometrist who has a passion for optics and really cares about their patients. Our appointment system allows for 30-45 minute testing depending on whether OCT is included etc, with support staff assisting with pre-testing.

Our working hours are Monday to Friday 08:30-17:30 and 09:00 to 16:00 Saturdays.

Package and Benefits

Generous and competitive salary from £55,000 to £67,000 pro-rata depending on experience, based on 38.5 hours per week, alternate Saturday’s, part-time would be considered. 

No evenings, Sundays or Bank Holidays, 33 days holiday, pro-rata for part-time.

Enhanced sickness payments and in addition health and well-being Apps, Perkbox and cycle to work scheme is available.

Key Skills, Qualifications

• Must be GOC registered and be a member of the AOP
• Have the right to work in the UK
• Friendly and helpful disposition
• Preferable but not essential a good understanding of an independent ethos
• Must have excellent customer service and communication skills
• Must be clinically minded and commercially aware
• Good understanding of KPI's
